I don't know who you are or why you visited my Xanga, but I think your cause is disgusting.

I will not say anything further, because, though I strongly disagree with your views, I appreciate that they are your's and would expect anyone to appreciate my view for being mine.

the holiday should probably be "Civil Rights Day" to honor every individual who has striven for civil rights.. and for the civil rights of all ethnicities (not just Black Americans). There has been a push in this country to basically elevate King to sainthood.. and his historical significance is well-established (and generally well respected)..

but he also was an alduterer, and Marxist who led a movement that de-stabilized our country and ignited destructive racial riots -

I believe he deserves some honor, but like you're saying not above George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, etc.
