Presently, our printer charges only 8 cents per copy to print our 16-page (in color) newspaper, TAA. (That's only $80.00 per thousand copies). But due to postage and other expenses, I have to charge distributors 16 cents per copy which doubles the costs.
Distributors who are able to pick up TAAs directly from printers, can obtain them for cost of printing - 8 cents per copy. In October, Ron and Chain picked up 10,000 copies each, and Todd picked up 12,000. A tremendous savings. BTW, SA Mann has already volunteered to pick up 12,000 copies of issue #4, and I'll pick up my usual 22,000, which is the maximum my truck can haul, due to weight (86 pounds per 1,000 TAAs).
So, who will volunteer to pick up at least 5,000 copies of TAA 4 at printers, located in north Georgia, and then distribute them over a period of coupla months ???
Here's another idea: Contact printers in your area, and ask if they're willing to print TAA. Just give them the link to TAA so they can view it before making their decision. You can do this on the phone. If they're willing, Alex can simply email them TAA 4 input. PRESTO !! You can pick up 5,000, 10,000 or more TAAs close to where you live. And at only 8 cents per copy. 5,000 at 8 cents per copy is only $400.00.
As I said, I can haul only 22,000 copies, and the round trip for me is 1,200 miles because no local printer will print TAA.
We want TAA to continue to increase to 100,000 copies per issue, then increase to 250,000, then a million and more. The above SOP (standard operating procedures) for printing, hauling, and distributing TAAs is a MUST, if we are to achieve dramatic and continuing expansions of TAA.

Well as expected, this thread is disappearing down the ole memory hole, at record speed.
I've been on the phone all morning phoning out-of-state printers in an attempt to lessen the mileage of my routine 1,200 mile round trip to our present printer. And guess what ?? I've found some who print tabloids much cheaper. One prints 16-page tabloid newspapers for only 4 cents per copy, and only $2,058.00 for a whooping 50,000 copies. How bout dem freakin apples ?? They'll think about printing our "pro-white" paper, and phone me back with a "yes" or "no". I'm not optimistic.
5 other printers are also thinking it over, and will phone me back. Only one looks promising, though. Their price is 6.6 cents per copy, compared to 8 cents which we paid for issue 3-A. They'll phone me back today or Monday with a "yea" or "nay". (Less than 200 miles from my house, too).
Just think. If we get the 4-cents-per-copy deal, we'll increase TAA number of pages from 16 to 24, and still provide them to distributors at less than our present 16 cents per copy.

You're a stellar example.
I know a pickup like this causes wear and tear on a vehicle and takes gas money. But I also have seen that these big distros are where we have gotten our best coverage in the jewsmedia. Also I like to see who the "pros" are and ron dogget&co., todd, chain are right up there.
I will definitely help you underwrite this.

Wouldn’t it be more economical to rent a Ryder truck or a U-haul? They also rent covered trailers very cheap if your truck has good suspension.

Hi, I don't have much but I would like to send you 20 dollars. Is a money order the best way to go? I was going to ask you by email by I cannot email on here yet, is there any TAA older editions that I could receive? I would like to receive about 50 and the rest of the money could go to TAA in what ever way you see fit.

I'm hoping a few others, besides SA Mann, will step up to the plate and volunteer to pick up car-loads or truck-loads of TAAs from printers, thus cutting expenses in half.
1) Todd picked up 12,000 copies of TAA 3, drove 1,200 miles to do so, and also chipped in $460.00 of his own money.
2) Chain drove 600 miles and picked up 10,000, then criss crossed the country distributing them while putting 6,000-7,000 miles on his auto.
3) And Ron Doggett drove 1,200 miles and picked up 10,000.
4) And now SA Mann has volunteered to drive 1,200 miles and pick up 12,000 copies of issue #4 when they're printed.
These few men cannot be expected to do this every single edition of TAA.
Who then, will volunteer to follow their outstanding examples ???
If not you, then who ?? If not now, then when ??
