Thanks to Kievsky for helping me sort through the necessities and for his time and patience as I asked him various questions.

Grow your own non-GM, heirloom fruits and vegetables. These folks have good prices on non-GM, heirloom seeds.

For pure drinking and cooking water you need to distill your water. The non-electric Waterwise 1600 will produce 16 gallons of pure, distilled water a day. Get one.

Tap water not only has chorine, flouride and other chemicals but multiple prescription drugs that people flush down their toilets. I currently have a filter on the tap that I use for drinking and cooking water but will be using the distiller once it arrives and then filtering the distilled water through a charcoal filter as a last step in purifying my drinking water.

Distilled water should be stored in glass or stainless steel containers. Kievsky tells me that plastic will leach into the water if distilled water is stored in plastic jugs.

You don't need to spend thousands on pre-packaged dehydrated food. Purchase an Excalibur food dehydrator and start NOW to put up some food for the coming collapse and break down in law and order.
