Krisztina Morvai, one of Jobbik’s three MEPs is a human rights lawyer. She is very dissappointed with the EU’s attitude towards grave and systematic violations of human rights in Hungary that have been practiced especially by the highly over-politicized police on the streets of Budapest during demonstrations since the September 2006. Dr. Morvai therefore decided to take all the opportunities that an MEP has to raise consciousness about the tens of thousands of innocent civilians who have been brutally attacked by the dictatorial police, the hundreds who were severely injured, illegally arrested, tortured in prison, subjected to ill-founded, lengthy criminal proceedings.
