Good for you. Just read an article the other day about CWPs. This guy was saying that people that work security carry 38 and 357 revolvers since they are so reliable. Makes sense to me. Also remember you shoot to stop, Never, ever shoot to kill. A three round burst (2 center mass (chest) and 1 head shot will usually be sufficient).

I probably could've just got into my car and left, but for all I know the next person in that lot could've been a woman or child. Get something light and easy to use in a hurry, that way you will not leave it home when the weather is hot or you are running late. If you carry a gun make sure you carry it ALL the time, in the same place, that way you will always know it is there when you need it.

If you want a revolver, get a good .357. They are easy to carry and the .357 mag bullet has a very high first shot kill ratio. (You don't want to get sued by the attacker) You did the right thing spraying that ape. Even if you had a gun, the least lethal way out of a situation is the best.
