You don't need to be a parent you contribute to this thread. Some of you aren't parents yet, but I'd still like your input.
As a parent of small children it's the former's duty to protect them from themselves and provide them with a safe home environment. That's a given that most here would agree.
Say your child is over the age of 21. Is it wrong for the parents to intervene in the child's affairs giving it specific instructions on how it should live and exactly what decisions it should make?
Also, if this child is having trouble with one of his or her peers or even a group of peers is it appropriate for the parents to intervene and confront that peer(s) on behalf of the child?
