Some of you know that I have two pre-teen boys. They both love to play sports, including nigger ball [it comes from their mama's side] and they both begged to sign up for nigger ball this fall on the midget league that the town set up this year. I figured that it beat having them sit in front of a computer so I let them sign up. Naturally, the team is about 70 black. I paid the $100 ($50 per kid) to sign up. I went to the sporting goods store and bought the helmets, the shoulder pads, the knee pads, the jerseys, the cleats &c &c. and got lightened up about $300 more dollars. I pay $5 admission to get into the games every week. Then, towards the end of the season, I have to pay another $50 bucks ($25 per kid) because they are going to put on a banquet for the players and give them each a trophy. So I am about $500 lighter because of this.

So the coaches called a parent's meeting last night. Seems not all the parents are paying in their $25 for the banquet dinner and the trophy. About 1/3 of them have not paid and will not or say they cannot pay. He proposed three alternatives:

A. Cancel the banquet dinner and trophies and give the parents their money back.

B. The parents that have paid in pay yet even more in to cover the cost of the kids whose parents haven't paid.

C. Just have the banquet dinner and the trophies for the kids who have paid and tough luck for the ones who haven't.

Nobody wanted option A. The split between B and C was along exact racial lines, whites for C, negros for B. Not only were they demanding that other people pay their kids' way to the banquet and buy their trophy, they got just damned indignant and going into chimp-out mode because these white people, me chief among them, were refusing to pay their kids' way.

One lemming white mom stood up and asked if maybe we could have some kind of agreement that the non-paying parents would pay the paying parents back over a few months. ( I'm thinking, Lady, you do that, just kiss your money goodbye.) Not only was her idea soundly rejected by the black parents, but she got the "R" bomb dropped on her. Yes, we're racist you see, because we know that it is black people that aren't paying their way. And that is why we won't agree to pay more than our kids' way, because we want to keep the niggers out. Through her tears, she screamed back at them that she was not a racist and stormed out of the meeting.

I and most of the other white parents demanded our money back. And we're gonna organize our own damn banquet.

The boys were with me and they got their very first, up-close, first-hand look at a minor to moderate chimp-out. It was also a good lesson for them on the reality of race. It didn't escape their notice that the ones who wanted us to pay extra for somebody else were uniformly black.

I'm going to let it soak into their little brains for a couple of days and then we're going to discuss and see what they learned.
