I don't support the Iraq War, but there are many honorable white men and women in the armed forces. They do not have control over where the civilian leaders have them fight. Blame Bush and the neo-cons, not the rank and file soldiers.

You gotta love this phony show of support for a dead soldier that probably not one of these people actually give a rat's- ass about. I would do it, however just because I would not want to disrupt and desrespect the "memory" of what was probably some misguided young guy who was naive but had good intentions. That would do nothing but make you look really bad. There are plenty of others ways to show your opposition to the war that will not make you look like an ass.

The guy signed up for a job to make money, he knew the consequences, he knew the possibilites. I would say that money and a career/job is the primary reason people sign up for the military these days they justify their shitty wages at a deadly job with their "patriotism" ideals.

If I died at war I wouldn't want anyone to mourn my life except maybe my family. To me having a parade to honor my death is a slap in the face. I wasn't good enough to have a parade when I was alive but now that I'm dead I get one eh?
