can you extinguish a bad habit by practising it so much you become sick of it.
A large part of human behaviour is controlled by the subconcious.
telling yourself something is bad will not suffice.
But practicing the habit so much that your body suffers would surely speak to the sub-concious.
A friend of mine said he gave up cigarrettes immediately with no after effects, when he smoked 100 cigarettes in a day while working all night on a college assignment and having winter flu. He said he would have written a book about it, but it was so simple.
The same method could be used to get off certain foods and dare i say it other things like Jew porn (that would be messy)
I have no doubt on the above theory, but I am asking whether the practice can be used positively to form good habits.
I suppose one would need to make the body feel intense pleasure, if a habit was to be gained immediately.
But how does one do that?
