Tehran and Moscow will discuss defense cooperation

The Iranian Defense Ministry has said Tehran will host the fourth conference of the Iran-Russia Joint Defense Cooperation Commission.

The Head of the Russian Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation, Mikhail Dmitriyev, will arrive in Tehran on Wednesday to take part in the conference, said the ministry in a report released on Monday.

A high-ranking Russian delegation will accompany Dmitriyev on his trip to the Iranian capital.

According to the report, senior defense representatives from both sides will study various ways of expanding the scope of the two countries' defense ties.

They will also examine the state of the agreements reached during earlier Iran-Russia joint defense commissions.
