I read the book the planet of the apes, and the insight into what makes a dominate race become a slave race is chilling. Pierre Boulet who wrote the Planet of the Apes, was a prisoner of War in Vietnam, so that book was actually a kind of autobiography in a way, he was a captive of another race that viewed him, a white man, as primitive apes. He witnessed firsthand how everything is subjective, to oneself and ones ego, to ones race and one's racial ego.
