In reading this thread and pondering on it, I truly wonder if Marty is even competent enough to stand trial. I wonder if a long term if not lifetime commitment to a mental institution is in order here.

I think just the fact that he would act in this way, when it would not be in his best interests to do so could show he might be a bit insane. But then again the behavior could put him into a mental institution instead of prison, so who knows. I really don't know how to vote, here.

I think Martin's ideas are completely insane, but I do think he's fully aware of what he says. They probably should just go ahead and switch the judge, since I can't see why that particular one would be so determined to be the one to take his case.

No, even if his views agreed with mine, I'd still think he was a lunatic. The fact that a 'person' like him was ever accepted in any quarter would raise eyebrows, at that. I think that with the charges that are being brought against him, he probably feels that he's fucked no matter what he does, and so should just continue to express his rants as much as he can, and get as much press coverage as he can.

ZOG will falsely convict you anyway so why not make it a show. It's the Rudolf Hess defense. There is something to be said for it. I would probably not do it myself and still hope there is an honest judge in the system left.

Incompetence by way of insanity, or any other cause, doesn't exempt a man from responsibility. If there is sufficient evidence to put Lindstedt on trial then he should be tried. The insane are far more likely to engage in devious crimes. This fact ought to be presented as evidence against the defendant if he is indeed mad.

In healthier times Lindstedt would be executed if found guilty, insane or not. Capital punishment for the criminally insane is beneficial for the gene-pool. It make no sense to give softer penalties to the less competent. This compassion for the dangerously unfit is a bad idea.
