Most of my family is from TN, and well near the appalachian mountains near tri-cities and kingsport I did not even see 1 non-white individual. Perfect Weather, glorious clean fresh air, I would say more whites move there if they are looking for a whiter area to raise a family.

I can't legitimately opine on the Deep South, but I'd venture to say with some degree of comfort that North Texas is "lost" in this regard. In cities such as Ft. Worth, all manner of race mixing is prevalent, and interestingly becomes more readily observable in trendier/wealthier areas. White female/black male pairings and white male/asian and/or mestiza pairings are what I encounter most in the cities, although I have been sighting white males with black females at an increasingly disturbing rate...

In rural areas, such as where I currently live, mestiza/"redneck" white male pairings are becoming more common by the day. People here are comfortable accommodating (and even bedding down) anything bipedal and brown so long they can cruise their fat asses up and down the highways in their comically oversized SUVs and pick-up trucks.

What part are you in?

I am soon to be in Starkville, MS. I have taken several trips to that area, and I have not noticed any race mixing. (Im sure it does happen, but less than other areas that I have lived in such as Jackson, TN and Texas.)
