
(Washington D.C.) Ucs News: The campaign of John McCain continues to build momentum With the general election sprint just 8 months away he is ready. This has been a great week for the Maverick™ senator from Arizona, first he pick up the endorsement of an unpopular President then winning the Mississippi primary in convincing but unopposed fashion. McCain capped off the week by announcing the selection of Dick Cheney to be his Vice President.
McCain made the announcement while speaking to a group of top oil company executives. McCain took the stage later to be joined by Cheney, who was concealed unknown to the audience. The gathered oil men roared with approval whne McCain introduced the "current and future Vice President of the United States of America."
"Dick Cheney is a natural leader, he is tough, smart and has the backing of every major oil company in the nation." Stated McCain. Cheney then took over the meeting and proceeded to explain the agenda for his third term in office.
Republican strategist Karl Rove stated that "Cheney and McCain compliment each other well. Cheney is a torture supporting draft dodger while McCain is a selfless war hero that knows first hand the horrors of war."
McCain campaign insiders are thrilled that Cheney has joined the McCain team. According to McCain staffers Cheney brings the highest level of experience to the position. Cheney was also tapped due to his single minded ability to follow unpopular orders while not letting his 12% approval rating effect his performance.
