Since you were in NBC can you confirm the things I was told by some NBC people about how the masks and MOPP suits are pretty much ineffective against most chemical agents? The people I heard it from were low-ranking enlisted people and I never followed up to see how true that was.

I watched the video that BNP posted and I have some observations:

The cameramen's behavioural tendancy to look away (moving the camera to the left or right after the first shot is fired and detection is possible). This shows lack of training and the avaliablity of cheap chinese video cameras.

Many of the engagements ended with a failure to hit the target. Also these snipers seem to be aiming toward the targets lower region (gut area, legs, etc). I did not notice one hit via head shot, although they tried against targets showing their head in tanks, APC's,etc.

The 'Allied' troops conduct before and after the sniper's shot was fired. In some of the engagements I can understand the soldiers in the area not getting in defensive position because of not knowing where the shot was fired from...but damn don't just stand there! The videos most suprising to me are that of Blackwater. These guys must have a better recruitment policy compared to the Marines and Army's multi-cult legions. I have not noticed one non-White in any of the Blackwater videos, although it can be said that Blackwater IS NOT helping White interests.

The notion that soldiers can be 'peace keepers' or 'police'. The Blitzkrieg worked for Hitler's Germany because the troops were on the offensive (and/or in constant movement), only stopping to perform necessary functions. There were also Police units trained to stand around, patrol, etc.

An important fact to remember about mopp gear is that it use's an active charcoal lining that's only effective for about 72 hrs after the package is opened, so if your thinking about buying a suit online from a surplus store don't they won't protect you. I should also add that getting petrolium products on mopp gear will destroy its effectiveness.

Protecting yourself in a chemical enviroment is a very exacting science, anyone who has taken a course in say, microbiology and practiced aseptic technique knows what I'm talking about.The average soldier doesn't receive nearly enough training to survive extended periods of time in a dirty zone.
