1. More insurgency, more violence, more work for the already spread-thin US military.

2. Busy military means no capacity to attack Iran, Syria, or anyone else that might start to make moves against Israel.

3. Splintering of Iraq will mean that the neoconservative policy and claim will have been proven beyond all shadow of a doubt to be a failure in the face of all Americans. This means that nobody will fall for a future crusade against Iran or Syria.

4. More dead US troops means recruitment numbers fall. US military failure means Israeli failure.

5. Total lack of evidence that Israel is directly involved in any of these insurgent attacks.

The neocons have specifically advocated and continue to push for a campaign throughout the Middle East, but it is stalled in Iraq. Israeli officials just recently admitted, amidst numerous warnings that they will not tolerate an nuclear Iran, that they would be powerless to stop Tehran. So who do you think would have to accomplish that for them?
