KINGSTON - A Kingston man was indicted Thursday on charges stemming from a shooting at the corner of Henry and Sterling streets in the early morning hours of Nov. 7.
J'Von Williams, 17, of 93 Elmendorf St., is believed to be affiliated with the Sex Money Murder street gang, according to Ulster County District Attorney Donald A. Williams.
The grand jury handed up charges of felony assault, felony use of a firearm, felony possession of a weapon and felony attempted robbery against J'Von Williams.
Police allege that J'Von Williams shot Richard Orta after Orta refused Williams' demands for money.
