AE., isnt Linder one of those names that is usually derivative of the names that end in 'son' Gunderson , many have 'der' in them? Names that became shortened usually at some point during immigration? My maiden name is one of those hellacious Greek names no one can spell or say, and it too, was shortened. The name thing can sometimes be very obvious but also deceptive. I have fairly horrible Jewdar unless its obvious in name and looks, but although they have annoyed me many times over the years, it is only now in retrospect that I have come to realize they were of the tribe.
