Off to Washington for a spell

SEHER SETHI is nervous about being on TV.
As the Regional Spelling Bee champ, Seher will have to face the cameras if she makes it past the first day of the 80th annual Scripps National Spelling Bee, which starts Wednesday.
Preliminaries and quarterfinals will take place Wednesday, followed by the semifinals and finals on Thursday. The semifinals will air live on ESPN at 10 a.m., and the championship finals will be broadcast live on ABC at 8 p.m.
Seher and her family headed to Washington D.C. over the weekend for the event. The Freeman, which sponsored the regional bee in March, is paying for Seher's trip, as well as expenses for one family member.
