I saw it; not much to say. The hispanic producer was incensed that people did not do more to challeng the cabbie, but most normal people are not going to get into an arguement with a stranger during their 10 minute cab ride simply over an opinion.

They also had two couples having loud and physical (no hitting, just grabbing and shoving) arguements in a park with the male being the aggressor; one White and one black. Folks were more willing to intervene on the side of the White woman than the black gal. They tended to tell the buck that this wasn't the appropriate place and to take it inside. My feeling is that bystanders tend to view blacks as having "rougher" relationships, so they tended not to interfere with what they felt was a cultural/racial difference.

How many times can White people watch, hear, and read this same "meme" repeated over and over again, without questioning the motives--and recognizing the desperation--of the people who produce it? If any of them knew a person who repeated the same story, or phrase, or joke every single time they met, even the dullest among them would recognize that something was wrong. Yeah, i've had similar experiences, after trying to intervene twice before, the third time, I heard some woman gettin slapped around, I just said 'fuck it' and did nothing. Kind of like whites, you know, you keep tryin to stick up for them, but what's the use? Whites are just like that woman.
