This might not be the right place to start this off but I have an immediate question. Has anyone ever tried any of the 10 or so methods to convert a straight handle Mauser bolt to a bend bolt? Someone gave me a pretty nice scope that was SUPPOSED to have about five inches of eye relief. Ha! I have to squeze up to that rifle like crazy to get the black out.

Has anyone had any luck with forge blocks and heating methods? That's what I'm thinking of. Do you really need the forge block and if you have to buy one, can it also be used on a Mosin Nagant and other rifles of that size?
