In school we are expected to learns tonnes of facts.

In book stores, all the products sell information.

In the media too.

However, no exposure is given to techniques, habits and wisdom. Without this, thw information one retains can never be exploited.

Most people- ones not from successful families- have to work out their own methodology to get through life.

The notables in our society are glad to share their finished product, but are highly secretive about how they came about their creation. The mindset they had to devlop to do such things

The only education system that I know of that had its sole focus on Methodology was the roman empire; but even then education was only open to elites.
