If you've been reading my columns for a while, you probably noticed I don't talk military hardware as much as most war buffs. There are a lot of people who'll talk all day about whether the Russian T-90 or the US Abrams is the best MBT. I don't do that much, for the simple reason that wars these days don't come down to one model of tank vs. another. It's pretty rare to find a war where both sides even use tanks. Most of the time it's guerrilla vs. guerrilla, or conventional army vs. guerrilla. The odds of an all-out hi-tech war between two conventional armies like the US and Russia are about...oh, zero-point-zero. So it just doesn't matter that much whether their tanks could beat ours in some make-believe replay of the Kursk Salient. If you want to play that kind of war, buy a computer game. God knows there's enough of them. If you want to know how people make war now, in the real world, you need to study people, not hardware.
Sad but true, boys: war these days is more like Social Studies than Metal Shop. It's about tribal vendettas, military intelligence, propaganda, money -- just about everything except pure hardware.
Don't get me wrong, I love the hardware as much as anybody. I used to spend every free hour, back before there was an internet, going over those big heavy reference books in the library: Jane's Tanks, Jane's Missile Systems, Jane's Combat Vehicles. I had those things memorized. Seriously, you could open any of Jane's handbooks at random, read me the name of a weapons system, and I'd recite its stats from memory -- Norwegian anti-ship missiles, South African APCs, you name it.
But eventually I had to face the facts: most of those weapons are never going to get used. If you look at all the real wars going on right now, you come across the same two weapons, over and over: the AK-47 and the RPG-7 -- both Russian designs, and both older than your Dad.
They're the weapons that matter, because they're already out there, millions of units, enough to equip every guerrilla army in the world, simple enough that you can teach a peasant kid with hookworm and a room-temperature IQ to fire them, and cheap enough to buy in bulk.
And the RPG is the best of all, even better than the Kalashnikov. This simple little beauty just keeps getting more and more effective. This cheap little dealie, nothing but a launcher tube and a few rockets shaped like two ice-cream cones glued together, has kicked our ass (and Russia's too) all over the world since back when the Beatles were still together. In fact, more and more guerrilla armies are making the RPG their basic infantry weapon, with the AK used to protect the RPG gunners, who provide the offensive punch. The Chechens fighting the Russian Army are so high on it that they've switched their three-man combat teams from two riflemen and an RPG gunner to two RPG gunners with a rifleman to protect them.
There's another stat that's even more important right now: the RPG has inflicted more than half -- half! -- of US casualties in Iraq. This is the weapon that's hurting us. And it's been doing that for one hell of a long time. ...

I was reading something that said that before the Gun Control Act of '65 there were thousands of Soluthurn 20mm canons imported to this country; after the CGA only a small percentage of the owners registered them, and the vast majority of the canons are out there somewhere. Thousands.

Twenty or so years ago I read an interesting book titled something
like The Gun That Killed Kennedy. The book traced the rifle, and
in doing so detailed how easy it was to legally buy all sorts of surplus
weaponry via mail order before the GCA. One was the Lahti 20mm,
which was supposedly available for some ridiculously low price. I guess
I should be glad I wasn't born 20 years earlier - I could have gotten
myself into a hell of a lot of trouble with one of these in junior high.

And your point is? Do you think that such weapons will be used in a White Revolution? I can tell you with almost 100% certainty that there will be no White revolution in North America.
I'm a gun enthusiast, and I've been a gun enthusiast since I was a boy. It's been my experience that the average White gun owner is a complete pussy.
BTW, the gun control act you speak of was enacted in 1968, after the assassinations of Martin Lucifer Koon and Robert Kennedy.

I remember these well. There were ads for them in hunting magazines and others. If memory serves, they cost $200. There was a story that went around, probably only a kitchen rumor. Supposedly, two kids, both about 11 years old, managed to get one. If the story is true, they destroyed a tractor on a hill two miles away on their second shot. Fun story, but I'm dubious.
The fact of availability of these 20mm canons is not a rumor, though. Ads for them were all over the place. You mailed them a check. They mailed you a gun. No, I don't know anyone who ordered one, but the ads were in magazines for years, and the ads never got pulled, so they must have been legit.

If you have US dollars third worlders right here in America I bet will smuggle anything you want in. We would need rpg's, hard hitting automatic guns like the aks, and sniper rifles.
These last few third world fights have shown how effective the rpg is. Its the new 'ak-47'. Also I'd say body armor is limiting the effectiveness of the guns.
The other thing I would add to the list is nightvision goggles. Its too much of a disadvantage to go without them.
Even if you aren't going to take power outright, having a lot of weaponry gives you a position to bargain from.

I agree, most of the "dead cold fingers crowd" will roll over on their back like an old whore. Only some calamitous event might force Whites into thinking racially and acting upon it. That's why most White Nationalists hope for a disaster. What are they called? Eschatologists?

Yep, Fissile, is correct on this. Guns are fun, and big guns are real fun. I own a Marlin Government 45/70 and it is loads of fun. But, will there be a White revolution of gun owners? Absolutely not. The gun-owning right is patriotic and still in love with Bush. Plus, too docile and too obedient to fart unless given permission. That will never change.
If there is anything like a revolution in the US, it will come from the left, and there will be no WN element to it. And, it won't be a gun based thing. I've always hated the left, but you have to give them credit---they are good at the screaming political bullshit---and, damn they get their way.
Beyond the obvious, Izzy and the neocons, I have no idea who the players are in this Kabuki dance. Eventually, something like the old radical left will overthrow the nut balls that are running the show now. Then we will have a whole new set of nut balls in charge. Either way, a real science-fiction scenario---a totalitarian police state. No job opportunities for WNs, either.

That is a good point. Before, the Jews were the left. Now they have abandoned the left, for the most part; so, for all intents and purposes they are at odds with the left wing they helped to create.

Yes, they are. They will use the neokikes to further their agenda to the point of making the public outraged. The public will then vote out all of the neokikes in favor of the demokikes, who will then further the demo/neokike agenda to the point of enraging the public...... back to the neokikes we go, its like watching a fucking tennis match. The names may change, but the kike remains the same. It's been this way for quite a while.

Arm 500 men with RPGs and 500 men with top-of-the-line sniper rifles, and I would wager that the men with sniper rifles could do more to alter the political situation here in the US than the former.
