Just wanted to throw this out there for discussion in case there would be anyone with anything interesting to add.

I sent out hundreds of mailings for my campaign over the last 3 weeks, sent them out to towns all over the State, enclosed was literature on my campaign.

I sent a number of them to a town down south where I figured there would be a bunch of receptive folks, town was once known as a "sundown" town as in they did not take kindly to darkies being present after sundown. :D To this day there are hardly any Blacks living there.

Anyway I got about a half dozen sent back to my PO Box and they were labeled returned as undeliverable. The reason though was not because it was "vacant" or for some other more common reason, what the label read was "no mail receptacle".

How common is this for folks living out of the way not to have a mailbox or something to put their mail in? How would they get their daily mail, PO Box maybe?

Credit to them for living that far off the grid I guess, thing is all the addresses I sent to came up on a street map search so they were not so far off to have not been on there.

Shame because I did get a response from that particular town, a nice fellow and his wife said they were going to see to it that they voted for me, would have been nice to have had the folks without the "mail receptacle" receive notice of my running for US Senate.
