Did the Rebbe say that Jews should not leave Crown Heights or so the neighborhood would not be less Jewish? There's a difference.

He told my brother that if he had only two weeks to live due to some illness he would walk down the street armed to the teeth and mow down as many of those New York Jews as possible. But when they get to you at a vulnerable time, like adolescence, they work like hell to pathologize you. Freud believed that everyone needed psychotherapy, but that the Irish were incapable of undergoing psychotherapy (good for us!:cheers: ) Probably the Irish just said, "I don't need your couch when I got a pint in my hand!"

One thing I observed about jews is that they are a "high maintenance" people. When Amerikwa hits the skids and so many of them that are here have to accept a reduced lifestyle, that's going to hit them hard. Harder than it hits many of us, that's for sure.
