If your state allows Open Carry of a pistol then I suggest you begin to open carry where allowed. There is nothing more effective at asserted your Rights than openly carrying a pistol on your hip.

It serves the purpose of countering the anti-gun propaganda and puts the criminal element on notice that you aren't going to be their victim.

Check out the various maps and laws for the state in which you inhabit and where you make your domicile. Of course convicted felons are not going to be allowed to open carry but most of us are not in that category.
