Well, my cable has been cut for 2 weeks after buying a good quality outdoor TV antenna to catch the local news and other local broadcasts (including free HDTV signals).

I must say that it's like having a massive weight taken off my shoulders, not worrying what nonsense the kids might see (despite my best efforts to restrict certain channels, etc.) or the usual marxist propaganda being constantly shoved down our throats 24/7.

Now the marxist filth aren't making a penny off of me, nor have I rented a movie in over a year (getting anything I want/approve free via torrent).

Moral of this thread... don't feed the beast! The poisonous viper in my home has been defanged to a harmless little garden snake.
