I need more information on the term "Jew." I listened to the last show you did with Bluvens and will listen to it again. Strongs defines "Jew" as:

G2453
Ἰουδαῖος
Ioudaios
ee-oo-dah'-yos
From G2448 (in the sense of G2455 as a country); udaean, that is, belonging to Jehudah: - Jew (-ess), of Juda.

G2455
Ἰουδάς
Ioudas
ee-oo-das'
Of Hebrew origin [H3063]; Judas (that is, Jehudah), the name of ten Israelites; also of the posterity of one of them and its region: - Juda (-h, -s); Jude.

Am I wrong in saying that Jews as described above are the people of the region of Judea and not members of the Tribe of Judah? For example, we could substitute the term American for Jew in the following sentence. "The Americans asked Christ ... " Where Americans describe the people of a region and not a religious sect.
