I think the Chinese are holding things together so they can have their Beijing Olympics. After that, they will sell their dollar holdings and there will be cascading failures and converging catastrophes that get out of control.

Just my prediction. In September someone can bump this thread and laugh at me if I'm wrong. I'll be glad if I'm wrong.

I woke up this morning with that thought in my head though. I had a dream of Chinese bankers at a board meeting saying "After Olympic, sell all dollar."
