Police are searching for the man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in South Miami Thursday.

Detectives said the victim and her boyfriend were at a park near Southwest 107th Avenue and Southwest 156th Terrace early in the morning.

An armed man pretending to be a police officer approached the pair and told them they were trespassing, police said. The man allowed the boy to leave, police said, and then raped the girl.
