You've all seen the ongoing wave of 'race is a social construct' and 'race is an illusion' garbage that's been going around for a while. Now PBS has propaganda web pages trying to convince folks of this lunacy:

The reality of race has been proven many times over, though that should never have been necessary so long as people have had eyes with which they can see. Only the insidious race-mixing propaganda of civilization's executioners has made it necessary to even raise an argument on behalf of the simple, self-evident truth: we are not all the same.

Let's take a brief glance at some of the distortions off the PBS site (in the first link).

Race is a modern idea.

Ancient societies did not divide people according to physical differences, but according to religion, status, class, even language.

It just so happens that 'ancient societies' largely stuck to their own kind and didn't cross the world to the areas other races resided. And when they did, the usual result was a race war, such as when Attila the Hun or Genghis Khan let their Mongol warriors in vicious wars of extermination against Europeans (see 'March of the Titans' link in my sig).

What's next?

Race has no genetic basis.

Not one characteristic, trait, or gene distinguishes all members of one so-called race from all members of another so-called race.

Lol. Whoever wrote that must have had a dominant pot-smoking gene. Why do only Jews get Tay-Sachs disease? Surely it isn't because they just happen to be the only race which carries that genetic disease?

I have blue eyes because it's in my genes. If my kids get blue eyes, gee, I guess it happens purely by accident, and has no genetic basis. Hey, since race has no genetic basis, I guess I can expect my wife to give birth to a puppy or chimpanzee.
