The Big Chill (1983), starring William Hurt, JoBeth Williams and Tom Berenger.
Jews must love this movie. It’s all dialog, no action (what’s a Jew but a mouth with legs?). It features pot-smoking (how hip!), intellectual musings of the “what-does-it-all-mean?” variety, Yiddish words (e.g. “L’chaim”) and fond reminisces about the 1960s. In fact, it even features 60′s music.
If you’re trying to get in touch with your inner Jew, this movie could help you. Maybe eat a bagel while watching it.
I give this movie 2 points out of 10 because JoBeth Williams is in it; without Williams, I’d give it 0 points.
