46 years ago today (June 8, 1967) the rogue nation of Israel attacked and tried to sink the USS Liberty a US Navy ship that was in international waters during the Six Day War. 34 American Sailors were killed and 174 were wounded. Their Captain received the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroic actions that day.
