Retarding minds and corrupting English

ALex's excellent essay about the words "reticent" and "reluctant", joggled my memory and revived and anger I have carried around because of my experiences concerning the English language.

My 4th grade small country school teacher was teaching my class to read using phonics - halfway through the year she stopped. I never had another phonics lesson, or even remembered anything about it until my own children (who were attending private school) came home with their phonics homework, and my memory got joggled. Both of my children learned good English, but, I was very angry because, by then, I was suspecting that some evil force had been working against better education for americans, and, I started suspecting that force changed things in my little school halfway through my 4th grade.

Years later, I was working with a fellow who had attending a small school very close to the one I attended, but about 6 years ahead of me. He was an English master, and it showed in his work, his conversations, and in his presentations. He was smart, too, but, I began to suspect that the major difference was that he was taught phonics all the way through, and that gave him the mental tools to develope better verbal reasoning powers.

I think we all have a chance to develope our verbal aptitude sometime before puberty - after that, it is probably like trying to learn a musical instrument - too late to master it. A curse on these evil "educators" who pushed us into "whole word see and say" instead of learning the various phonics. After I was in my 30's, I decided to go to law school at night. It took me 2 years just to get proficient in English enough to even think about taking the LSAT. I had to read gobs of non-fiction books, with a dictionary close at hand, and, blast it, I had to learn all my new words using the "see and say" method because I was just too old to get the hang of phonics. What took me 2 years would haver taken a skilled phonics reader probably less than 6 months. I think doing this to so many young americans amounts to child abuse, educationally speaking.

Two words bring out a particular ill-bent penchant of these culture crashers. One is the word "gay", and the other is the word "queer". I learned at an early age not to use the word "queer", even though it was in my early readers, because I understood it also meant something very bad and very un-natural. But I did use the word "gay" all the way up until the late 60's, when, I got ridiculed by enlightened co-workers who were hep to the new meaning being spread around for that word. I responded by removing that word from my vocabulary also.

I am reminded of two popular tunes that should help us to realize the corrupting effect that was done to our language by peddling phony meanings for these two words. One comes from the 50's, and is by that most popular vocalist, Elvis Presley. It was the tune "Paralized". It uses the word "gay" in its proper meaning, and goes perfectly with the lyrics and flavor of that tune. I still like that song, and, these days when I hear it, I defiantly embrace that word as being completely legitimate, and I refuse to accept the bastardization that was done to it.

The second tune was back in the 30's, by yet another giant among male vocalists, Mr. Bing Crosby. I don't recall the name of the tune, but, in it, he uses the word "queer", and it is used to describe that odd feeling we have when we meet someone we find attractive and we wander around all in a dither about it. Mona Montgumery ("The Holahoax") used to play it on her former internet radio show.

I agree that a language needs to be flexible and change with the times, but, the traditional English language is so rich with words to add nuances and subtleties to the myrad of human feelings and thoughts, that, I beleive it would be a great benefit to the white english-speaking race to take the first few years of children's life to learn traditional English, with its vast vocabulary, so that their little minds can grow like mental giants, armed with the mastery of such an immense and powerful language.

KILL THE TV!

My two cents worth.

I don't ever use the word gay, I use fag or, to be polite, homo.

"Gay" may have been in use among the fags earlier than we think. The Golden Book Encyclopedia, 1959, that my family had, included the caption "Gay and weird costumes are seen in the New Orleans Mardi Gras carnival." You gotta wonder.

But Alex is a fine one to talk when he has spent years gabbling away in a strange private language, itz. Oh, I see his new page is cleaned up and fairly 'standard'. I don't think he has hit the right formula, yet.

My little horse might think it's queer
To stop without a farmhouse near,

Between the woods and frozen lake,

The darkest evening of the year.

Just as modern mass production requires the standardization of commodities, so the social process requires standardization of man, and this standardization is called equality.

Our language should be advancing, instead it is going backwards ,like you know what im sayin' . We are getting idiot terms , like bling bling ( does that sound similar to booga booga ?), pimp dis and pimp dat . We should be moving forward with words that are needed to describe things , like 'jewdar' , 'jewspaper' and words that have usefulness that aren't currently available .

'the limits of my language are the limits of my thinking' Orwell

In polite company, huh? LMAO.
I just say "homosexual". No one can criticize it, since it's the "clean", "clinical" description, but what's really good is that many homosexuals don't like to hear it. (Hehe, too bad.) Maybe they don't like to be reminded of what/who they are.
Kind of like jews, who are the only people who can't bear the sound of their own name.

Yes, phonics is the only sane method. Thank God I was taught in that way.

I want to vomit whenever I see negro street jargon make its way into the lexicon. It is constant; you even hear it on the local news broadcasts, by newscasters.

I actually heard Paul Harvey use the word "bling" the other day.

RE: Contumacyman

ALex's excellent essay about the words "reticent" and "reluctant", joggled my memory and revived and anger I have carried around because of my experiences concerning the English language.

Public schools have been in America for over a century. One year after the next. Children of the same age entering the age-appropriate grades. Inexorably the children come and go through the educational machine. They are molded and transformed into beings with additional knowledge that will enable them to survive and hopefully prosper.

As a White man, I am compelled the think with reason. And my reasoning tells me that the schools should be improving their efficiency over time. As a matter of continued reasoning, shouldn’t we be looking to school systems to make smarter and smarter children, year after year? And shouldn’t the teachers be improving their teaching techniques whereby they are imparting their knowledge more rapidly and again with more efficiency? The way how I see it, a newly graduated high school student of today should be at least twice as educated as I, discounting the wisdom that I’ve gained, since I graduated. But the reality is that they are not. As a matter of fact, I would have to say that the average newly graduated high school student of today is only half as educated as myself and my peers, when we received our high school diplomas over 30 years ago.

I think that we would all agree the schools are failing and that they‘ve been failing miserably for a long time, and I’m also sure that most of us would agree on the principle causation.

We post these things here, and we are forced to confront the utterly profound realization of the fact that the jew is purposely retarding our children. The jew has stolen their precious right to be educated to their fullest potential. This dastardly thing that has been done to them is just as debilitating to our race as would be giving our children a frontal lobotomy at birth. Too many of our young people are literal morons. It kills me to say this.

My hatred for the jew is building to an unimaginable crescendo.

I had never even heard of the word "bling" until a few years ago. Shows you how fast the cultural pollution machine is spinning, if even that old coot Paul Harvey knows what the word means and uses it in public.

Neither had I until about two years ago. Now, regretfully, I know.

Just five minutes ago, on Netscape's vacuous home page, the term "bootylicious" was used in describing female models. FUCK that is objectionable! That right there is a low-down nigger crotch-grabbing word. Bear in mind, that the text probably wasn't written by a nigro. I would imagine Murray or Nathan sat there with his little "putz" in hand, typing with his other.

This goes on every god damn day! AOL does it too.

[color="Red"]Ol Murray , just sittin their amplifying the cultural decay .

Yep, 'bling' and 'bootylicious' are making their way into the common vocabulary . Contrasted to , how many blacks would know what 'binary' or 'boolean' mean ? Which set of words will have a greater influence on technology , commerce and the future ?

We're being dragged backwards by 'diversity' !

I was talking to a biker buddy of mine about 12 years ago and he told me I "shouldn't be dissing that person." I asked him what "dissing" meant. He said "disrespecting." I asked him why he didn't just use the proper word and stop talking like a fucking nigger. I never heard him use that stupid "word" again.

I don't use "gay" either. Queer is a good word, which describes rump rangers pretty accurately.

BTW, I think "bling bling" started because that's what so many nigger cashiers at Wal Fart hear every day.
