A woman called into his radio program yesterday and as she was signing off before Rush went to a commercial break, she mentioned that her child said "Obama looks like Curious George." You then heard a chuckle from Limbaugh that sounded to me like he got the reference.

After he got back from the commercials, he immediately gave a solemn apology to Obama and his campaign, saying he didn't know who Curious George was and that his staff was telling him during the break that it was a monkey.

He then went on to overly embellish it, saying that he never watched cartoons as a kid (yet named about four cartoons that he did watch), never read comic books, etc. On and on he went, covering his tracks. Finally someone even corrected him on that, saying that Curious George was a story book character and not a cartoon or a comic book. Later in the show a black woman called in and called him a liar, saying how could he possibly not know who Curious George is.

So, does Obama look like this cartoon monkey or not?
