Sarasota, Florida -- David Selcer, a Jewish lawyer who recently moved to Sarasota, Florida from the Cincinatti-Columbus area, and an alleged friend of Nicole Nichols of Citizens Against Hate, has allegedly been leading the crusade against Michael "Von Bluvens" Blevins, an attack which has involved stalking Blevins' family members and circulating false documents to the local press.
Selcer, who lives with his wife Susan in Sarasota, today denied the accusation that he was coordinating local college students to harass Blevins at Blevins' home. However, information received today by LSN spells out in detail that makes it clear the author has inside knowledge of the harassment how Selcer brought Blevins' presence in the Sarasota area to the attention of local media and how he has been attempting to organize a "Citizens Against Hate" group at the local college where he works as a professor.

Selcer's involvement in the legal profession would explain the quality of the forged "criminal records" and "commitment papers" that have circulated the internet and "anti-racist" / Jewish communities.

The information received identifies Selcer as a regular "anonymous" poster on the "NIM Busters" forum and Vanguard News Network Forum and identifies him as having been involved in the harassment and stalking of other white activists. The poster using the screen-name alleged to be Selcer's has repeatedly stated he is involved in the legal profession and uses law-related databases to stalk white activists.

Because LSN is still verifying the accusations, we will not be posting Selcer's personal information at this time. However, Selcer, a former resident of Columbus, lived in close proximity to several prominent anti- racists, including Jerry Bello of ARA and a place where Daryle Lamont Jenkins of the One People's Project flopped for several months.

Sarasota, Florida -- [Bill: This is one of the most ridiculous, error-filled "news" stories I think I have ever read. Not only is this guy Mahlburg a nut who had to be removed from Von's house by police, but he apparently can't write straight either. :-/

My opinion is that, since this is a "dead" story that had gone nowhere, they are desperately struggling to keep it alive.

SARASOTA -- Parents have removed two of the four children at a Sarasota day- care home because of apparent concerns over a self-professed white supremacist and neo-Nazi leader who lives there, day-care regulators confirmed Friday.

Anti-hate groups, including the head of the Anti-Defamation League for 12 Southern states, on Friday condemned the child-care home and called on state and county authorities to protect children from racial bigotry.

The calls come in the wake of a Herald-Tribune report that Michael Herbert Blevins, a leader in the white supremacist movement and host of a nationally known Web site and Internet radio show, is living in a small Sarasota house where his wife of nine months, Bernadette, runs a state-licensed home day care.

Just a week ago, Michael Blevins was listed in county inspection records as the substitute caregiver for the day care. He has since been removed from the list and replaced with another substitute, county regulators say.

"This is one of the most outrageous and disturbing cases I've come across in a long time," said Art Teitelbaum, Southern area director for the Anti- Defamation League.

"We have asked state and county officials responsible for the licensing and regulation of child-care facilities to promptly take whatever measures are necessary to make sure children are not in an environment where they are exposed to a person who calls for the 'extermination' of non- whites, putting Jews 'to sleep' and shipping blacks back to Africa."

But Sarasota County officials, who regulate child-care homes under a state Department of Children & Families contract, repeated that they have no reason to close the day care.

They have found nothing that violates health and safety regulations, and they must also consider Michael Blevins' constitutional right to free speech, said Homer Rice, the county Health Department manager who oversees child-care regulation under the state DCF contract.

"We are going to continue to spot-check her license," Rice said, referring to Bernadette Blevins. "We will check to see the children are not exposed to hate material ... But I don't see anything different we can do."

A neighbor says she has seen a Nazi flag in a back bedroom of the home, down the hall from where young children spend the day. But Rice said Bernadette Blevins, who has run the day care for more than decade with few problems, "has been very conscientious about making sure the children are not exposed to the material."

But, say the children were being exposed to "hate" material? So what? That would not be against the law.]

Teitelbaum said he urged Rice and Mike Carroll, a DCF regional official in Tampa, to review whether Blevins' wife should lose her license.

"I understand from Mr. Rice and Mr. Carroll that their consideration of that issue is not complete," Teitelbaum said. He also called on top DCF officials in Tallahassee, including DCF Secretary Lucy Hadi, to review the case and said he sent Hadi information about it.

Florida DCF spokesman Tim Bottcher declined to comment on the discussion between Teitelbaum and Carroll, and insisted that DCF has no involvement in the issue because Sarasota County licenses its day-care homes under a state contract.

Rice denied Teitelbaum's suggestion that Bernadette Blevins' license was still being reviewed.

"If he took this to mean this is not over, he's misreading my intent," Rice said. "Our position is she's still in compliance with the regulations."

Rice said that two families have pulled children from the Blevins home in the wake of the report that he is a neo-Nazi.

"Common sense would tell me it was probably as a result of the stories, and when they saw the media coverage they became concerned," Rice said.

Officials have said they did not know if parents were aware of Blevins' white supremacist ties, and it was not their role to inform parents.

Rice said he does not know if additional children have been added to the home, which is licensed for up to 10.

Blevins and his wife both have declined to talk publicly about their views.

On Monday, a spectrum of Sarasota area minority groups, including African- Americans, Hispanics and Jews, are scheduled to meet to agree on a statement condemning Blevins' white supremacist stands, said Edda Post, executive director for the American Jewish Committee West Coast Florida Chapter, which stretches from Tampa to Naples.

Like Teitelbaum, Post said she supports free speech, but not racist hate groups.

"This isn't just a Jewish issue," Post said. "If you look at this guy's Web site, neo-Nazi hate is not limited to the Jewish community. "
