Alright all you arm chair historians, do you think General Lee should have been removed from command after the disasterious Pickett's Charge across the open fields of Gettysburg? General Pickett's Brigade was nearly wiped out. Two thirds were either killed or taken prisoner. General Longstreet tried to disuade General Lee to no avail.

Personally it was a waste of some of the finest infantrymen ever to fight. As scarce as troops were becoming, someone needs to be held accoutable for this major miscalculation. I would say that at the very least General Lee should have been reprimanded for his conduct in this episode.
