Rabbi busted on child porn charges

PASSAIC, N.J. (AP) - Authorities in New Jersey have arrested a rabbi from Argentina on child pornography charges.

Passaic County sheriff's detectives arrested Rabbi Gabriel Toledo, 50, at a kosher food distribution company in Moonachie on Thursday.

The Record newspaper reports Sheriff Richard Berdnik issued a statement saying the rabbi was in possession of more than 1,000 images.

Authorities say his roommate, Joseph Vasquez, 22, fled from detectives. He's wanted as a fugitive child pornography charges.

The sheriff's office says Vasquez is from Honduras and is in the United States illegally.
