Jew lice (pediculus kiketis) are small parasites exquisitely adapted to living off of the hard work of their human hosts. Their spindly arms are evolved to grasp for money, and provide a great example of biological specialization. Dead Jew lice have been discovered in ancient Egyptian tombs still clinging to gold coins after 3,000 years:
