I downloaded some recitations of the Qu'ran verses onto my computer a couple of weeks ago. Some of them sound kind of cool as they echo from the walls of whatever mosque they are being recited in. I didn't really have a use for them except maybe as some future background sounds for making media stuff and just listening to the musical recitations. The poetry has a certain rhythm and meter that is kind of mesmerizing when taken in small doses.
But tonight as I was sitting in the coffee shop with my computer, a herd of Jews came in and sat down at the table next to me. They seemed to be having a good time drinking coffee and babbling in Hebrew. Letting Jews have a good time, is always a bad idea. So, I totally ignored them and concentrated on the screen of my computer as I turned the volume of the speakers up full and then innocently clicked one of the MP3 files.
Ah, what a pleasure to see Jews squirm and lower their heads in shame and get up and walk out. I think I am going to keep these recitations on my hard drive instead of burning them to CD and erasing them. They seem to have unforseen uses. 🙂
