It looks like anti-white propaganda with the indians as the sympathetic characters. Real vikings also didn't wear horned helmets so that part of it looks really outlandish, and I don't think the vikings ever brought horses with them.

I saw this mini-series on the Sci-Fi channel and was deeply disappointed witht the ending. It was a severely truncated bastardized verision, where the second half of Kriemhilde's Revenge was totally ignored. The Nibelungen never did end up fighting to the end in Atilla's hall against all odd in favor of faithful Hagen. Very very disappointing ending.

The visuals look awesome. And the plot seems to have one redeeming feature. Afterall the only way it looks like those natives could defend themselves is by having a superior aryan bred warrior among them.

But other aspects seem retarded.. like the noble, wise, peaceful, living in harmony natives attacked by evil whites. Look at the main characteres he has no armor because of the inferior native technology.. yet he is slaying horse riding, heavily armored, experienced viking raiders?

Still I probably will watch this one, because I love vikings, and they seem to have really done a great job on costumes and settings.
