Martina McBride’s recording sessions at Blackbird Studio during the first half of 2005 had an atmosphere of contagious enthusiasm. For the first time in her career, the multi-Platinum country star was solo producing an album. But not just any album. An album unlike any she has ever recorded. An album celebrating her place in a genre she holds dear while reminiscing and paying homage to the songs where her journey began. This is an entire album dedicated to some of the most prolific country classics tunes of our time.
“Every time I hear this music, it feels like coming home,” says Martina. “What I love about these songs is that they are like conversations. These lyrics are so simple, yet so eloquent. It’s just honest. I have a comfort level with this music and a respect for it that is deep.”
Glad you're back and kicking and clicking, Two Clicks -- even though I somewhat disagree with your too-purist position. Listen to Martina here -- you'll love it. She will soothe your soul and mind.
It's good to be back, thanks. I'm sure she is great, and I would probably enjoy her music; but, real country music died out (except where it's still kept alive in small local venues) when the jew took over Nashville.
BTW, I'm considering your advice in the other thread about fractional gold.
Silver, I already got a bit stashed away. Never enough, right? Thanks again.
If it weren't for me, where would I be?
It's good to be back, thanks. I'm sure she is great, and I would probably enjoy her music]Good. Now is the time to begin accumulating gold and silver. Average your way into it over the next month or two. Save a little investment cash for early next year -- and if gold takes a dip then (it probably will), buy some more.
Downloading some of her stuff on Limewire right this moment. Don't like to buy music and I'm sure Martina is doing alright as is. She doesn't need my 5 bucks after the "industry" gets through taking their various cuts.
I love country. Always have. Especially the classic (to me) stuff from the late 70's and 80's-Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys, Mel Tillis, The Eagles (western soft rock/country) Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings, so many good songs and memories. Then it went through a bad phase with that Garth Brooks character on top and a lot of over-produced junk with cheesy videos.
Martina shor is purty.
BTW, country is undergoing a real turnaround and something of a Renaissance, if you listen closer. There's some damn good songs being made these days and the artists are getting back to their roots. But I was country when country wasn't cool.
