Her pic was on tv, blonde hair and blue eyes. This is probably the work of a groid or spic.
Arkansas Tech Student's Death Ruled Murder
Russellville - Police say a former Miss Arkansas contestant found dead last week was murdered. The announcement comes four days after the body of 19-year-old Nona Dirksmeyer was discovered inside her Russellville apartment. Officials still aren't saying much, but it is known the Russellville Police Department has the preliminary autopsy results, as Nona Dirksmeyer's family waits to hear exactly what caused the beauty queen's death.
The reality that the Arkansas Tech music major's voice will never be heard again is beginning to set in for the usually quiet town of Russellville. Nona Dirksmeyer's death remains a mystery to the people who knew the former Miss Arkansas contestant.
Sunday, Dirksmeyer's mother and step-father spoke exclusively to Channel Seven about the case.
(Duane Dipert, victim’s step-father) "I think it's somebody she knew. I think it's probably a student."
Russellville Police Chief James Bacon said in an interview Monday that his team of investigators is following such a lead, but expressed concern about the rumors surrounding the case, including one that the victim was strangled to death.
(James Bacon, Russellville Police Chief) "My office talked with the coroner and he denies that, so I don't know where it originates and I cannot confirm it."
The autopsy report should be released Tuesday. Nona Dirksmeyer’s parents expect her body to be released by the state crime lab Monday evening.
The family has scheduled visitation at Humphrey Funeral Home Wednesday night from 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral is set for Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church of Russellville.
