My compliments for the post. The ways to tackle with "liberal" ad-hominem attacks are: violence/threats/ridicule (this is EXACTLY what they deserve), silence (even though these vermin will see that as a sign of having "won" the "argument"), or using the Jew box to herald "Nazi propaganda" (as Itz Molecular said). One doesn't have to be a better speaker than Mr. Linder, that isn't the point here. The point is friendly folks offering some advice. And why not? Aren't we a part of the audience? And what speaker can be successful without being in tune with the audience?

The start of this thread was a good idea although I don't agree with the advice offered. A "no comment" or a "none of your business" doesn't do the job because as one commentator added: "a talk show is for talking".

Stopping the conversation with a "no comment" or a "none of your business" is a failing strategy. Better is it to re-direct the question with a question of your own. Seize control of the interview with your will power and superior knowledge of the subject. And question the questioner, this way the flow of conversation is not stopped but redirected in a direction of your own choosing.

For an expert use of this technique, I invite anyone to study Glenn Miller's TV Forum interview on the "Forever True" video on the link below. He doesn't let them corner him but instead takes firm strides around to where he has room to counter whatever they throw at him and then seizes the initiative. Now, THAT is an expert speaker and a classic interview technique.

Always remember as well: the radio interviewer and the director in the sound booth has the advantage right from the start. They can interrupt you at any time or let in a hostile caller at any time. They're also experienced in front of the mike where the interviewee usually is not. They may be assholes, but they are experienced assholes.

One should also come prepared before the day of the interview, and have pre-packaged sound-bytes already rehearsed and ready, in order to blow-off the obnoxious questions concerning one's personal life, etc. Have a friend play the "interviewer" the day before, if possible. Even the President of the United States rehearses before many of his public grillings before the media. Anticipate, anticipate, anticipate. Have powerful return replies that are like shot-gun blasts in the interviewer's face. Cut hard and cut deep and then move on to the important points of your agenda.

It's possible to do so in a live appearance, which I understand this was. Whereas one might be rightly reluctant to appear on a show that is taped and edited before it airs, such as Steele's appearance on the donny Douche show.
