Film-making requires specialization and is carried out best by a group of cooperating specialists. This is true of hollywood studios today, this has always been true about film-making. There are directors, photographers, cameramen producers and actors/subjects. It's not a one-man show. What time would of Shakespeare had if he built all of his own stages and props?

There are writers, directors, producers and technicians. You have to apply your limited strengths to a specific area and network a team together that can get the thing shot.

Did you copy and paste this?

Are you trying to discourage people from attempting to copy the great copiers in hollywood?

Moose, these guys are giving out wish lists for semi-pro's that would make a fella with a doctor's salary think twice.

Just get a high end consumer camcorder at Walmart and take the fucker back to Sam Walton after using it for 30 days.

Face it, your only distribution is going to be over the internet, you wont be exibiting in a movie house, even a small one.

Yeah. I went to Wal-Mart about a week ago, but the dude working the electronics didn't have any knowledge to offer. That was my concern]www.solargeneral.com[/url], Malleus has probably collected every White Racialist video that exists in his archive. That list should be a lot longer with today's technology. It would be nice to log onto VNN and see a new video every month or so. They don't have to be high-end documentaries or full feature cinemas, just something visual for once.

You could probably do a video on what I described in my previous post using still images and basic editing software, couldn't you?

Gather images of White South Africans, while that nigger's audio rants over about killin' da White Man. Then transition into images of White South Africans, or Rhodesians who were murdered once the monkies were let out of their cages while Beethoven plays over.

Then right at the end, a message from our sponsor, VNN...

"To fight the negro, you must fight the jew....VNN...No jews, just right."

Only be a few minutes, but I'd think it would be decent enough.

Moose,
You are on the right track now, pal. You've got good resources here, what with krrupt and also the others for moral support. Now, I want to mention that video that is designed to be _shown_ over the web is, by very nature of the media a low frame rate kind of deal. It's not really meant to be high tech, but by starting low budget the real value is that slowly and surely you build an expertise which is a real value to have, and that can be extended and reextended as you achieve more and more.

Now, I wanted to mention that when I was putting AVI's together, I was producing one hour long video pieces that were compressed and a single data CDROM was able to hold the entire hour. I got a lot of my raw material using a $45 webcam. Most webcams can take movie clips while they are attached to the computer, and the one I had could be mounted on a tripod which I got from one of the "mart" stores.

I used a free piece of software, and also one I registered for $25. The free one was pretty cool, originally meant for an Apple, but it had a windows version. I'll try to find that one again if you are interested. It had two small virtual screens, and you had frame by frame control, and when you had it right where you wanted it, you hit the button and it joined the two segments together with any of an array of effects.

Just talking about it is kind of exciting. Is there anyone out there who is a writer? Someone with the raw creative ideas for this "type" of media, audience?

hmm, just doing a search on it, I'm a dummy. Theres a lot better stuff than the one I used, now. Bunches of them. I guess what I ought to do is download the shareware versions of them and start evaluating them before I make a recommendation.

I'm going out of town for two weeks and may have some intermittant web contact. However, I do want to help if I can. Keep posting stuff on the direction you are heading with technology, and source material. Also, keep in mind this one thing, I'm sure krrupt will agree. If there is a better quality way to do this thats just as financially reachable, even if it achieves frame rates that are too much for web viewing, that's perfectly okay. That's because with this same equipment you can take a high quality movie that you make and digitize it, and "tune" the frame rate down in a copy of it until its right for the web.

You can always reduce information easily if its there to begin with.

Any mini-dv camcorder will produce adequate images for internet distribution.

Framerate stuff is no issue for anyone with a Pentium III or higher.

I'd just get a Canon from walmart a tripod, a digital audio recorder with maybe a mic input and a clapboard for syncing up in your favorite computer video editing software, and you're good to go.

If you know any places I can download them for free to try them out, I'd appreciate it. I want to play around with the stuff to see what it's capable of. If not, I'd also appreciate a recommendation on a good one to buy.

So I guess it's not going to be crystal clear over the net no matter what camera you use. That answers my question. I guess I'll go with the home type cameras from Wal-Mart or some other place like OWG suggested. Even if I can't produce any good footage from that, I still have a nice family camera.
