No, it wasn’t. America’s founders created a White republic. The racial “melting pot” propaganda came from Jews, such as Emma Lazarus and Israel Zangwill. America’s founders wanted White immigrants, not Blacks and Browns. In fact, Thomas Jefferson wrote that Blacks and Whites are different and therefore cannot occupy the same government [1]. Also, in the era of our founders, only White males could vote or hold public office, which shows the intentions of our founders re: race.
