I watched this show "Whale Wars" last night on Animal Planet. Before I get flamed for watching talmudvision let me just say that it is packaged in my rent, and the TV came with the flat.
Anyways, the show is about a group of "wildlife conservationists" calling themselves "Sea Sheppard." They have taken a 30 year old fishing vessel and renovated it for tracking down and obstructing Japanese whale hunters.
Their methods of obstructing vary from throwing "enviro-safe" stink bombs onto the decks of the Jap ships to actually boarding the ships and causing an "international incident."
At first I thought "great a bunch of PETA freaks trying to get attention." However after watching the Japs destroy these interesting endangered animals in violation of international law, and the danger involved in boarding these vessels, I have to admit these activist have balls. I also think it is a good example of how barbaric these Japs really are. Most people say the Japs are so smart and ahead, but this show demonstrates the contrary. Anyone else see it?
