What Is Anti-Semitism?
There was an old man who lived down the street, about 30 years ago. He often paraded around his yard naked. When neighbors complained about that, he had a novel response: "well, shame on you for looking!" If the neighbors had not looked his way, then they wouldn't have seen his naked body! So, the "bad-guy hat" was on the neighbors, not on him!
With that anecdote in mind:
Seen: a TV commercial about "anti-Semitism." No doubt, it was produced by some Jewish organization in response to the current Jewish flattening of Gaza and the "anti-Semitism" that the flattening has caused.
(By the way, Arabs are Semites, too. So "anti-Semitism" includes "Arab-hating").
I will give newbies several examples of "anti-Semitism." After they read them, they will have no doubt about what it is:
1. A famous actor is giving an interview to an entertainment magazine. During the interview, the actor casually mentions that Hollywood is, and has been (historically speaking), controlled by Jews. Later, the actor is accused of "anti-Semitism" even though that's true: Hollywood was founded by Jews and has been heavily-Jewish ever since.
2. A well-known podcaster, who specializes in financial matters, talks about Wall Street and corruption, and he mentions Bernie Madoff (1938-2021), the infamous Jewish swindler. As a side note, he also mentions that, historically speaking, nearly all of the big swindlers in America have been Jews. Later, he is accused of "anti-Semitism" even though Madoff and many people like him have been Jews.
3. A retired U.S. military general gives an interview to a political website about American foreign policy in the Middle East. He mentions that America's relationship with Israel is very one-sided: that relationship has benefited Israel greatly, but it has caused America endless problems. He suggests that America should end that horrible relationship with Israel. The Jews accuse him of being an "anti-Semite" and a traitor to America.
"Anti-Semitism" means noticing Jewish behavior (which is bad behavior 98% of the time). Did you notice? Then shame on you for noticing! [1].
