When did Jews start to control the Europe?
In 712 A.D., Jews helped Muslim invaders capture Spain, resulting in 150 year period of relative peace, in which Jews were free to study and practice religion as they wished. As the monopolist slave traders in the region, they could supply sex slaves of either gender to any Roman Senator who had had too much wine and was a prime mark for blackmail. And because the Jews controlled the exchange ratio of silver to gold between the Middle East and India, they were the prime traders in gold and silver and could amass huge fortunes through the precious metals swindle.

By the time of Nero, the Jews had a Jewess as the wife of Nero and were able to blame the Jewish arson of Rome on the Christians which resulted in the slaughter of Christians throughout the Empire and in the Colleseums. Christianity was a threat to the Jews primarily because it took away their chosen people myth and preached forgiveness of debts. And if there is anything that a moneylender hates, it is foregiveness of debts.

Interest points but it is not a good idea to blend fictional tales of poets and playwrights with historical research. Certainly, poetry and art can tell human and aesthetic truths that cannot be matched by mere data and historical facts, but to combine fiction with history is not a good idea if you are trying to find the truths of history.

Interesting point about the relationship of slavery with usury. This is why the Jews became the monopoly slave traders of the Mediterranean Basin. In those days, it was common to guarantee a loan with your daughter, your son or even yourself and your wife as collateral. And it was common for parents who had been gripped by the evil hand of the moneylender to sell a son or daughter into slavery to escape that unhappy fate, themselves. So, the moneylenders and bankers were automatically in the slave business as well as the pawn shop business. Moneylending is a form of slavery for anyone who borrows from a Jew.

Having an international network that crossed the lines of a war (Napoleonic war) was VERY USEFUL. They profiteered by smuggling back and forth in defiance of Napoleonic law. Drug smuggling is VERY profitable in the modern day, and war smuggling across embargoes was VERY profitable back then. Also, General Lagrange was pretty easy on them. When he realized the Rots weren't playing straight with him he could have administered a quick and bloody justice, but he didn't. Instead he just took a bigger bribe.

You market it a little more expensive than supermarket cheese, with the pitch "support local business." I talk to enough people to know that they'd do that. There is already milk whose label is the name of my state (because produced here) being sold in the supermarkets, and it's bought up as soon as it hits the shelves.

Microbrewery -- same deal.

However, these businesses should accept just "breaking even on expenses" without expecting to make a living out of it. Net profits should be distributed to all Local Economic Volunteers in a lump sum at the end of the year.

That is, we should do hobby businesses based on "Local Economic Volunteerism." Perhaps one shift of our day off, but if enough people are involved it becomes a happy, rewarding social event.

If and when it begins to make a consistent and/or growing profit, then some people can become full timers and draw salaries, and others can purchase private shares of the business.

Reading the history of the jews in Europe, I saw how the "community" and "businesses" were one and the same.
