I'm going to unban Sutter. If he posts personal information or breaks other rules, he will be banned again for good. Flynn, I'm not going to unban at this time. He's a grown man with a family and has made substantial donations to VNN, but his comments about me selling out to jews -- that's beyond the pale. If you're going to make that kind of claim, you better post a copy of the receipt.

VNN supports free speech. Our attempts to improve through pruning in my view have not worked. Moderators tend to become censors, and that's not what I want or think best.

We must rely on good men seeking what is best for our cause. Anyone who gets too far out of line with that will be seen for what he is. We do not need the type that heroically figures out that others are trolls and antis. You aren't helping. You are hurting.

This is an online forum, and anyone can join and comment, and although even a mod or two does not practice the rule, anyone can post in any forum, unless I say otherwise. We don't ban people here or there. If you want a controlled forum, there are probably 500 options out there besides us.

Just keep away from illegal and porn, and make your posts worth the time it takes to read them.

Yep, it seems Alex is going to go back to the old Dodge City, anything goes, VNN forum. I think it's a smart move. Nothing illegal and no porn. Maybe Alex will take his own advice on the porn thing.(heh, just kidding, Alex).

If I could make one suggestion. Just one more rule to add. How bout no flaming on activism threads? 3 simple rules to keep things from getting out of hand and everything else is fair game. Should spice things up and the 3 prime directives would lessen the carnage and mayhem.

I was thinking the very same thing. VNN forum members are divided between 2 factions. The first is the First Amendment Bro's. Up until recently the FABS's, as I call them, have been taking it on the chin. In fact, if you were to open up a Chinese phone book and look under the name Chin you would see photos of FAB's

The second faction is the Big Ban Whoever. The BBW's, as they are known, have been in control here at the White House for quite a while. It seemed like a good plan at first but as Dick Cheney would say, "except for the occasional heart attack, I never felt better".

But through all of that, through all of the infighting and the backbiting and the intrigue. You know what kept all of us going here at VNN? It was knowing that someday, somehow, Anima Eternae would be unbanned.

No one would obey the rule, and the mods would spend time moving stuff. Not worth. Best is let things run, if they get too far out of line, then people get one warning, then banned.
